Help! Practika 3.2 DCZ (Stills Camera)

Hi there! I bought myself a stills camera a few weeks ago. T's 3.2 megapixel, and works well. I can connect it to the TV fine and it all works nice and lovely, EXCEPT (you knew that was coming, didn't you?!) I cannot transfer any of the pics on the cam's internal memory to my PC...

I've installed the software, drivers, and still no joy. It's a USB lead which came with the camera... I've tried on a mates PC with still no luck. All software installs, and when I go to archive my pics, a msg box says "No pictures in Camera"...?!?!

A couple of questions for you...

1) When you plug the camera into the USB, you have the camera turned on, right?

2) Are you positive the USB port works? Have you successfully connected other devices to the port?

3) What operating system? If its WinXP (and I believe Windows 2000), it will show up as another hard drive once its connected. Worst case, you can use Windows Explorer to browse through the camera and copy the pictures to your computer. I'm not sure how it shows up on '98 or NT.

Hmmm... that's all I can think of for now.
